The better question these days is who doesn’t?!?!? If your child suffers from any of the many assorted disorders of deficitic attention, your child obviously needs to participate in our attention-focused concentration camp. But what does that mean? Which of the billions of God’s children actually need to be here? What signs should parents look for to know their child has concentration issues serious enough to require our assistance?
Here is a list of the sorts of children (and behaviors) that can benefit from our extremely aggressive, progressive, effective programs:
- If your child has been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD,
- If your child talks back or acts out, especially in stressful situations,
- If your child has a hard time paying attention at important times, such as Sunday church, during history lessons, or when you’re trying to explain why certain rules apply,
- If your child has ever been noted as “goofing off” or “not paying attention” in class,
- If your child has ever had trouble with silent reading in school, even the slightest amount,
- If you sometimes find your child’s behavior unacceptable,
- If your child repeatedly tries to get your attention, especially when it’s obvious that you are quite busy,
- If you think your child could grow personally from the many benefits of greater concentration,
- If your child prefers to play checkers, instead of chess,
- If your child plays chess but makes obvious mistakes,
- If you just know in your heart that the time is right.
- If your new husband or wife doesn’t connect with your pre-existing child like he/she would a natural child you had both given birth to together. It may not sound like a true sign, but it is. It’s not your fault, you do your best. If the child doesn’t imprint to the new parent as a natural one, it is not the parent’s fault, the child needs additional training to meld into this new dynamic, and you know this already.
If your precious little youngster meets one or more or none of these criteria, it is no negative judgment against you, but it certainly should tell you that it’s time to take serious, even alarmingly serious actions. If you want your child to grow up in a healthy, well-adjusted manner, it is plain that concentration is an issue, and if that’s the case, concentration camp is the only solution.
